Last week I had this text text exchange with my friend David which made me laugh out loud:
Subject: Here's omething new for me to worry about
Ugh, just noticed the stupid typo in the subject line. I do in fact know the difference between "hear" and "here". Interesting side note, when I was in Russia one time a woman asked me to pronounce the words "air", "here" and "hair" in front of my Russian Mom. The woman then said to my Russian Mom, "Can you tell the difference between those words?" and my Russian Mom emphatically said no. The woman was like, "This is yet another reason why English is so hard". That and the "th" sound which is impossible for Russians to master. Even now, my husband just can't get it. His mouth literally can't make that sound no matter how hard he tries. Interesting, yes?
OH. MY. GOD. I just noticed that I left the "s' off the word "something" in my last email. That's it. I'm not sending any more emails today. If anyone needs an answer from me I'll have to call them or send a carrier pigeon or something. THESE ARE THE DAYS WHEN I AM ANNOYING EVEN TO MYSELF!
